AI meeting tools like Otter.ai, Fireflies.Ai, and Read.AI are under legal scrutiny after claims they recorded conversations without full consent-raisnig serious concerns about privacy, data use, and compliance.

These tools can automatically join meetings, capture audio, and generate transcripts-but may also store sensative information and use it to train AI systems.
Why this matters on campus:
Before using AI notetakers in classes, meetings, or interviews, make sure everyone is aware and has consented. Recording without permission could violate privacy laws and university policy.
Quick tip:
If an AI bot joins your meeting-pause and confirm it belongs there.

Command Description
