I have only had it a few day, but I have a concerning amount of playtime on it and it has quickly ascended to one of my favorite games. The mechanics are simple and soothing, the story is wholesome, the art style is beautiful and cozy, and the soundtrack is simply perfect. Best spent $20. The second one says : This is probably the cutest game I'll play all year, in terms of art style and possibly even plot. For someone looking for something cute and casual, I highly recommend. the frogs are adorable, the music is cute and simple without being annoying. The game play loop of collect bugs and resources, make merch to sell, buy furniture to find more frogs and ponds and plants to diversify the wetlands and get more resources is satisfying. For those who decide to seek all the achevements, you're in for a much more grindy experience. There are a A LOT of frogs in this game. Each species of frog has 64 possible colour combinations. 24 of these you can only get by breeding, which uses an interesting noughts and crosses (tic tac toe if you will) minigame that's you vs 'nature'. It's doable but takes time. Make a playlist of video essays you've been putting off watching. Overall, it's a really solid, fun experience. There's been a few times where I've wished a mechanic was slightly more indepth or there was just a little more (journal entries, stickers for photos or something) but it doesn't really detract from the experience.
