That's super fair and I didn't think when I wrote how it would make me look a bit unempathetic. I think the key difference could be that in the real world I can talk to people with different experiences than me and understand and appreciate their experiences but I can't do that in WoW. If I'm playing a roleplaying game that is set in the real world and I wanna play a person that is from another country, I have so much at my disposal to read about and try to roleplay in a way that is authentic (taking into account all those experiences) but not disrespectful or stereotypical. In WoW, there's simply not enough detail about other races cultures and experiences that I can feel confident enough taking that role without feeling like I'm being unauthentic (most of them, unfortunately, are just different flavored humans or stereotypes of real world cultures). "You can just make stuff up" which is fair and I imagine the RP community has to do that to survive but again, not a creative person and I wish more details came from Blizz itself than from me. To be fair to them, I imagine there's no more than a handful fantasy authors that go into such detail.
