Before TADC finale comes out imma post a theory. I think Jax was involved in a Hit and Run, Gangle was involved in a car accident and Jax was the one to hit her. He thought she died, she didn't, but her injuries did prevent her from becoming an artist.

Or with the last part at least she couldn't pursue an art career, ended up working in the fast food industry, either attempting suicide or stepping out into the road getting hit by Jax.
