Michael Koper @michaelkoper.com · Feb 14 Migration to AWS EC2 finished! All works well and it was a lot easier than I thought. I'm keeping the Heroku environment just in case. I can simply add the dynos backup and change DNS to migrate back. In case EC2 has problems. Same counts for Hetzner. 3 hosting providers to choose from 👌

While you could spin up an EC2 and get it to do anything, like host a web site, you end up with a pet that requires constant watching Elastic Beanstalk puts that behind a load balancer and makes sure that an EC2 is always on and even swaps them out when anything hiccups Finally I can sleep 😴
