I just discovered I lied! (Inadvertently). I looked at the actual box the pen came in and it's a 144R! The label says, "made in W. Germany" which is such a trip! I'm amazed I kept all the packaging.

I try to keep the boxes, for just such a reason. I have a pre-WW II Montblanc with a size 2 1/2 nib. Nice pen, but too small for my hand.
