I think about Shay around this time. I remember spending New Year’s Eve in Currans pub back in 2013. I look back on that night fondly. It would be the last time I would see all my old class mates before we parted ways into life. We got a Smokey cover band to play rebel songs. We danced until the early hours of the morning. That was a long time ago when youth was still about us. I saw Shay a few times throughout the years after that. I got a couple of lifts from him on his massey Ferguson when I was walking home from college. But as the years went on I would see less of him. He’s gone now. Forever Imprinted on a mass card.

I was the IRA in the Tan war and I was the Vietcong in the Vietnam war. So I got to win all the time. Which is always the way I've liked it, I like to win.”
