My first 35mm film camera was an Olympus Trip, bought with money saved up from my Saturday job. I learnt a lot using that camera. Later I bought a Pentax SuperA as my first SLR with money from my first full time job. I loved them both and still have them. Wouldn't part with either of them.
I have two 35RC cameras. One which my Dad loaned me in 1972 to take on a 28 bike tour of the Maritimes. It got sand in it on a beach despite being wrapped in a t shirt. The other is a new one Dad bought to replace the one I buggered. It has the attachable metal lens hood. Best lens in class!
That's a very cool looking camera! I've tried a couple of rangefinders before (a Canon Canonet 28 and a Ricoh 500 G) but didn't have much luck.
