Hello Moms. I attended the online Air Quality Webinar yesterday that several of us posted. I won't go into the details - but I will post a few resources in the comments - and I will tell you a few key points for those of us who are NOT in the immediate burn zones, but live close "enough." *** Wear a N95 mask outdoors, at least for the next two weeks. *** Change the air filters in your automobiles! *** Keep your doors and windows closed for at least the next two weeks - especially if the winds kick up again. *** Wipe down any ash on surfaces with a damp cloth (use gloves), and dispose of those rags. *** Change the filters in your HVAC systems. *** Change the filters in your swimming pools, and do not swim in your pools or hot tubs for at least several weeks - and then change the filters again after a few weeks. Obviously there are many more things to do - and I am not an expert, but the people at the seminar were! They spoke mainly to the people in the immediate burn zones - but we have to also be vigilant in all of Los Angeles!
