I think on twitter you also brought up how the desk computer is a terminal for the school or ministry mainframe, same as the rest in the commonwealth. I'm curious: what's the cybersecurity landscape in this setting? Because it feels to me like this architecture would be more vulnerable to subversion

All secondary students have an assigned desk. You'll notice it looks like a desk for adults. This is because they are treated with the respect you'd give adults, and they enjoy a lot of freedom. With that said, expectations are high and there is little patience for bad behaviour
