Exactly right. The JPAC decision notice they've based this off states to use female ranges; but for a trans man stable on HRT, this could allow them to donate at levels below safe limits.

When they used male ranges for me, a value of 124 g/L was enough for them to instruct me to see my GP, yet they'd let a trans man donate with a level of 125. This is just not safe.

Reasonable to err on the side of caution and donate below the safe limit rather than above it but missing anaemia in trans men is a big risk
