Passage from Data and Deception by Emily R Bellas Reaching up, I connect Arden's lips to mine. It's a quick kiss. A kiss that says we're not sure we should be doing this, but we're doing it anyway. A kiss eerily similar to the one we shared last year but this time, the situation couldn't be more different. Arden's lips soften for mine but only briefly. As if coming to his senses, he leans away. Looking back and forth between my eyes, he analyzes me for a few seconds before seeming to come to a conclusion. "Yeah, fuck it." Arden moves with a swiftness I wasn't expecting capturing my head in his hands, his lips urging mine to open for him. And they do, easily.

Screenshot of my StoryGraph review: ♾️⭐️ Final cry count: 17 This book was a JOURNEY. It was heartbreaking and beautiful in so many ways. We've had so many reveals, so many full circle moments. So many questions answered and yet so many more questions yet to be answered. There was so much character growth in this book and I'm so proud of Raeve. I want to give her a hug. I have never so thoroughly *felt* a book before. Never so thoroughly have had my heart broken and mended back together again. In so many ways, 1 am not okay after this. This world, these books, these characters are going to be living in my heart forever. They are my family and I will never be ready to move on from this world. I'm so thankful that there will eventually be another book (because what the HELL was that epilogue?!) It's only a matter of time until I'm ready to dive back into this because I just know there were things I missed on my first read now that I know what I know! Sarah- I'm (lovingly) sending you my therapy bill.

Part one of my StoryGraph review of Moth Dark: 4.5⭐️ —— Thank you to the author and publisher for a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! Imagine if there was a whole other world in the darkness and shadows of every day life. A world where time passes differently, different creatures and plants exist, and a different people exist. In the world of Moth Dark (quite literally)- this is reality. Two worlds wholly at opposition with each other. What happens when they meet? This was *instantly* captivating. I was absolutely fascinated by the world building, the scientific exploration of the unknown and how the world that we know has “adapted” to the existence of the dark. I truthfully wish this was a series because I just want to learn more, exist in it more. I truly appreciated that the author didn’t really waste any space here, so to speak. Every line, every thread connects eventually in a beautiful way that is both heartbreaking and heartwarming.
