"The half-breed returns with another creative phallus based taunt, I assume?" Aldiirn shrugs the sneer aside. "Goblins, they say such wild phrases! After spending so much time in the wilderness they were bound to rub off on my weak blood. I'm sure someone of your standing won't take my failing to heart." The drow woman does not miss that her current standing is beneath that of the half-breed True Soul. "Praise the Absolute for offering us all second chances." Aldiirn sets an illithid tadpole jar onto Araj's workbench. Just the creature she's been looking for! "I didn't recognize the name of your house - it was before my pitifully limited time, you understand - but something about about it nagged and wriggled at the back of my mind," Aldiirn continues while tapping his temple, "I had to read up on it."
"We're gonna have to kill this guy," says Orryx, a huge, muscled, hulking man with horns. "Darn," responds Aldiirn, just a cute little guy half Orryx's height.

Astarion leans over Lae'zel so she can see every point of his cheeky smile. Alas, Lae'zel is not impressed. "Were it not for his singular presence, I would have charmed my way into Aldiirn's bed before you. And I would complete my tasks for the camp. The accusation strikes a nerve. "Please, no one is doing anything as crude as laying back for handouts. It's all in my personality." Lae'zel cocks an ear. This doesn't fit with Aldiirn and Astarion's pattern of sneaking away together. "You have lain with Aldiirn, have you not? Explain yourself." "Would you look at that, he's giving out the lunch bags!" Astarion is saved by the sight of Aldiirn handing out supplies to Karlach and Wyll and skips away to his tent with a, "toodles!"

Aldiirn plays an enchanting melody on his flute, the notes wisping around him and morphing into the form of tentacles. The look on his face and fine robes say that through magic or talk, you'll see things this bard's way.
Aldiirn skips through the crowded foyer of Moonrise Towers, giddy at having gotten away with telling off a Lolth-sworn woman. “We've lost him,” Astarion gestures, “Aldiirn is cackling to himself.” “Let me have this! You'd take a jab at Cazador given the chance.” “I'd take it further and gut him through and through!” Astarion sneers. Aldiirn's cheer isn't dampened as he grins back. “It doesn't always have to be so direct. We could set Araj up for the next audience with Ketheric and watch the show. Or her sanguineous arts could prove useful to us. Never light away an opportunity too early…” Aldiirn trails off as he spots a tall hooded figure, dark as shadows, amongst all the drow cultists. With a hand Aldiirn signals for the party to stop. “What?” questions Astarion. “That drow.” “Which drow?” Astarion's words begin to muffle as the hooded figure turns around, red hair spilling from under the hood, gold glinting on the bridge of a sharp nose.

The results of everyone's rockhounding for Caelryn's Cairn, collected over the course of Act 2. Most carry traces of the Shadow Curse. Lae'zel: The first appropriately stackable rock she saw, flat, sturdy, and voiceless. Wyll: Related his stone eye to Caelryn's eye for rocks when he found a round rock with a heart shaped marking. Aldiirn: Waited until he found the right rock, a mossy cave stone that made him think of Cally's protective cloak. Astarion: Went through many rocks, changing his mind between thinking the whole thing as stupid and trying hard to make Aldiirn happy. Finally settled on a stone with gem inclusions. Shadowheart: Picked a sharp, edgy rock from Astarion's pile of rejects. Gale: Put great effort into seeking a geologically unique rock, finding a specimen morphed into nodules by the shadow curse. Karlach: Forgot about the whole thing until leaving the shadow-curse lands and finding a funny butt-shaped boulder. It even has hole!
