Paradox Customs is taking an interesting approach, selling "prebuilt" PCs that skip memory entirely. The idea being, if you happen to have spare sticks lying around, you can save some money. Of course, it's also an alarming sign of what the PC market has come to. System integrator starts offering prebuilt PCs without RAM [VIDEOCARDZ]
Obviously, shutting down one source of information about climate change won't alter what's happening- greenhouse gases will continue to behave as physics dictates, raising global temperatures. But the Trump administration seemingly views everything through the lens of ideology. It has concluded that scientists are its ideological opponents and thus that its own ideologically driven conclusions are equal to the facts produced by science. Because of that perspective, it has been willing to harm scientists, even if the cost will eventually be felt by the public that Trump ostensibly represents.
The One Place Trump's Power Remains Constrained Trump can accuse his enemies of crimes on social media, and millions of his followers will believe it. He can place his allies in powerful positions in the Justice Department. They can talk tough and launch investigations and obtain indictments—or, failing that, at least file misdemeanor charges. But once in the courtroom, bluster and name-calling don't cut it. Facts and evidence still matter. Laws and procedures must be understood and followed. Independent trial judges, skilled defense counsel, and the Bill of Rights' protections for defendants all come into play. Randall D. Eliason
It's true that doctors cannot say with absolute certainty that some ingredient in some vaccine, or combination of vaccines, does not contribute in some way, however small or large, to the rise in autism diagnoses. EMMA ROTH TWO HOURS AGO The FCC is going after broadband nutrition labels. The agency voted to adopt a notice of proposed rulemaking that could modify the broadband pricing breakdowns introduced last year, which Republican FCC commissioner Olivia Trusty said may be "overly burdensome" for service providers, as reported by LightReading. The FCC is looking to "streamline" rules surrounding the labels, a proposal that Democrat commissioner Anna Gomez called "one of the most anti-consumer items I have seen."
