I finally got excited about photos I took on the last day of class — ones I took for myself rather than for an assignment. I’m looking forward to scanning to see how the entire roll turned out, but here is the one #darkroom print I made of the Bull Creek Bridge, a Civil-War era structure on campus.

Took this with my Yashica FX-7 with the 50mm f/1.9 lens (more or less wide open probably at 1/60 or 1/30 because it was really dim under the tree and cloud cover) on Arista EDU Ultra 400 film and developed and printed in Sprint chemistry on Multitone Pearl RC paper.

I mean, I did a contact sheet in the darkroom, so I have an idea how the roll turned out, which is to say pretty well, but I’d like to see greater detail and see if there is anything else from this roll I want to print.

Great! The best photos come from momentary inspiration. Keep after it!

That looks super cool. I bet the tones are divine without the bsky compression. Under compression, they look great

Rules are for babies. Don't let that class get you down. We do what we want!
