How come they didn't pick a darker default background? These bright-ish backgrounds are its death.
Who in their right mind would want the invisible app tiles?
They need to reduce the transparency, colour saturation… possibly increase blur.. It’s nice.. just TOO extreme… needs refinement, especially if there’s lots of noise below, it can be just brutal 😒

There are serious accessibility issues with most of the fully translucent effects. I'm astonished that Apple went through with this.
After looking at the demo, it describes everything I feel about this change...
From the first reports the beta seems to be really buggy... But overall people seem to like what apple did to the camera app...
I thought we were done with skeuomorphic designs... No wait, this is even worse.

Honestly, I already know where all my apps are located on my homescreen. So even if all apps had the same color, it wouldn’t make a difference 😅

Honestly, it’s a great update. I loaded it up and I’m impressed with how each icon pops. It does have the heating up issue as well as the low brightness, lag, and stuck in App Library issues. It’s honestly gorgeous. Stick a gradient or photo wallpaper and your icons feel more connected than before.
Why are people whining about this optional thing? Monochrome palettes do wonders for people measuring their screen and social media use like I do
I've been complaining to AccuWeather for ages for almost the same reason 😅 I tell them: screens have colors, use them. They keep doing the whole interface in white and blue 🤷🏻♂️ I wouldn't expect that from Apple though. I hope it's optional.

Looks like the first winterboard theme I installed and thought looked sick when I was 12. Then again these days most 12 year olds have iPhones so this one's for them I guess
