The Montgomery County Council denied The Montgonion access to press briefings. Their reasons? They said satire like "Snapping Turtle Sing Sing" for gas powered leaf blower users and "¡Huir! White Oak" with 5,000 Little Tavern homes might "confuse" the public. Basically, they think you're an idiot. They said our publisher's weekend side gig was a conflict of interest-comparing him to Jeff Bezos running Amazon and The Washington Post. It's ludicrous. We went ahead and addressed every single point, taking even their most absurd "concerns" off the table. What's left? The real reason: they don't want a satirical news outlet in the room.
