Since most of the labour at AgriSynthetics is automated, workers have a lot of free time on their hands. CRUNCH, who was already low on the totem pole after getting hazed by the other workers, has been brought down even further by Moople.

After deliberately doing all of the limited labor that the workers need to do by himself so that CRUNCH couldn't get any work done, Moople suggested to facility management that he be allowed to give CRUNCH special tasks just so there could be *something* on his performance record. Management agreed.

This is how CRUNCH ended up with the official responsibility of "rest specialist". Moople can just push CRUNCH over onto the floor and sit on him whenever he wants, and CRUNCH has to go along with it. He also had a locking strap put onto CRUNCH's pacifier to stop him from taking it off to complain about the arrangement.
