The Plains: Amber grains, seas of green over rolling soft hills, and flowers as far as the eye can see. Marring an otherwise picturesque landscape are the abandoned trenches scarring the earth. Broken weaponry scattered across the dirt. Wars so bloody that their violence still echoes in the land.
You move on a board created by cards. You flip them face up to see what they are. Red cards are Encounters, housing Spirits to face. Black cards are Events, challenges and trials created by this place. For Encounters, these Wild Spirits have Health, Guard, and Attack. Use Spirits to roll over their Guard and strike back! Roll under and choose to harm the Spirit or Keeper Lose Experience or Health, the former is quite cheaper. Complete an Encounter without suffering Harm And you may bring them into your Hearth with your charm. Your rewards are random; rolled on the locations table, You may split your rewards and claim all that you’re able. The number of pips on the Spirit indicate the rolls made for rewards, Consider combining their totals for a higher award. For Events, Costly or Risky are the choices you’ll make. Select your option wisely lest your body break. Costly choices require payment, specific and quick, The pain is felt immediately; a guaranteed lick. Risky choices require confidence that you will roll and not fail. Failure is quite costly and will cause you to wail. If you lack payment for a Costly choice, The Risky option is the only path to take that will hear your voice.

Date: 4th of Nets Coordinates: 12,G [Plain] to 11,G [Forest] Weather: Clear Skies Scenario: Forest Lair Event Night Scenario: 10 of Hearts - "Curse of the Clumsy" Journal Entry: We go from clearings to forests without issue. The winds are quiet after a night of feverish dancing. Stray and I meet a caravan of forlorn Delvers. They offer us the coordinates to a Lair in the area and request we conquer it on their behalf. Stray grunts. She seems interested in her endeavors and I’m not about to deviate either. We lack the munitions to pierce the heart of that beast. The Night brings with it that unwelcomed feeling of rest. I drift for a long while and hear the whispers of that devil in my ear. It speaks of its desires and their origins. I strive to avoid its worming notions but find that when awake, I have been branded with a curse. More foolish devilry. (Acquired Forest Lair Event. Gained Coordinates to “Crumbling Castle”. Gained “Curse of the Clumsy”.)

3rd of Nets (Story Event) 12, F to 12, G (Swamp to Plain) Weather: Cyclones Scenario: Plains Quest Between the tearing winds and the savaged landscape by tumultuous cyclones, I almost didn’t catch the sounds of gunfire in the distance. A sound that sings familiar tunes to the core of my bones. I run towards the gunfire and watch a struggle ensue between a veteran Hound and a couple of Mad Dogs. I swung into action to assist this Hound and, after an arduous battle, we succeeded in felling our brethren. We eat in an uneasy silence and I drift off from the day's events into a strange dream. It is there that I find that devil whispering in my ear, the source of my misfortune, in the guise of my former commander! They speak in tongues but I am not beguiled by their words. This thing will die by my hand and I will stop at nothing to slay it. I drift back into the waking world and in doing so, manage to converse with the fellow Hound. Sharpshooter Stray is all she refers to herself as. She searches for her daughter in one of the many battlefields that litter these Plains and requests my aid. I swear an Oath to bring her to her daughter and provide her peace. With the Cyclones whipping around, we kill our fire and proceed to head towards one of the battlefields marked on the veterans map. (Entered Plains Quest. Fought 3 Mad Dogs. Suffered 0HP loss. Gained 10 (|). Gained 3 Firebombs. Gained 3 Tar Bombs. Remembered 5 of Hearts Card in Action Stack. Gained “Sharpshooter Stray” Companion. Marked “Oath of Restitution - +1 to Familiarity”. Unlocked Night Events)
