For reference here’s my kid 2 weeks ago on the same slide that rocked the Boston cop. No idea how he attained warp speed. Commenter: potential energy (mass x gravity x height) is a thing, especially when converted to kinetic energy (1/2 x mass x velocity^2)

Be the Chicken Humor Today was our first PD day. We had a pastor come in and give a motivational speech themed on the idea of being "all in." And the way he did it was provide this analogy: He brought out an egg and some raw bacon out of a bag and compared the chicken's contribution to breakfast versus the pig's. The chicken only gave part of what they could give while the pig gave it's life. He commended the pig for this and suggested that we needed to be all in as well. This analogy is, frankly, insulting and tone deaf. It also falls apart the minute you think about it. But now I decided that I'm going to be the chicken this year I will do my best to contribute, but I'm not sacrificing myself. I hate these motivational speakers, man. I truly don't think I've ever been that motivated to teach thanks to it some kind of speaker. {г 2595 346 1, Share

Hi Ms. Magary! I'm (student name), in your second period last year. I'm sending you this email to say thank you for teaching Earth and Space Science! I was pleased to meet you in my first year in the U.S. Because you always explained specifically when I asked you a question, I could adjust and learn well about science. It is especially a grateful memory that you always lent me a tablet in class and installed a specific translation app that makes me feel comfortable. I really like the lab we always did after learning about the theory. Those labs helped me to understand and learn scientific facts that are difficult for me to understand only in writing. Because of your teaching, I'm more confident about my next year in science. Thank you for all your efforts, and see you next year!
