INT. FIREHOUSE 51, COMMON ROOM - MOMENTS LATER Most of the crew are in the common room lining up as Ritter serves breakfast. John is there as well. Capp is at the front of the line. CAPP: Ritter, fill me up. I need a lot offood this morning. TONY: You know, we are firefighters, right? We probably shouldn't have too much food... CAPP: I don't care. I can't think about what happened yesterday and I need food to forget it. Ritter puts some food on Capp's plate. RITTER (deadpan): You can come back for more later. TONY: What happened yesterday? CAPP: I went on a date. TONY: Oh, yeah, forgot about that. It wasn't good? CAPP: Well, it started off great. She thought it was pretty cool that Iwas a firefighter. She was a vet, which I thought was cool. But then, I guess we started talking aboutour interests and then she said,and I quote, "You're a nice guy, but I can't date a man-child." Everyone in the room starts snickering and laughing. CAPP: Whatever. Laugh at my misery. Anyway, so that's why I need to forget last night and eat as much as possible.
INT. FIREHOUSE 51, COMMON ROOM - LATER Estevez, Cruz and Ritter sit at the round table in the common room while others lounge around. ESTEVEZ I've been trying to think of anything I could do for a side hustle and I'm getting absolutely nowhere. RITTER Well, it's gotta be something you're good at and can do easily. Maybe you could do some pieces for a magazine? Something to do with firefighting. Are you a good writer? ESTEVEZ I can write! CRUZ But don't only a few of those places really pay well anyway? And it's not like you can write hundreds of articles for good pay. ESTEVEZ That's true. They all think some more. RITTER Are you good at any arts or crafts? Maybe you could create something and sell it online! ESTEVEZ My Grandma taught me to how crochet once... But I was 10 and I got so into it. Too into it, because the next thing that happened was me knocking over her lamp and setting her carpet on fire. Cruz and Ritter try to hold back a laugh. CRUZ Ok, well... We'll keep brainstorming.

The first page from my pilot, INTO THE SHADOWS. INT. VICTORIA'S OFFICE - DAY One pair of ankle boots, followed by another walk down the hallway and left into an office. VICTORIA, 46, beelines for her desk. Her assistant TALIA, 30s, shuts the door behind them. Victoria scribbles something down on a piece of paper rapidly, folds it, and hands it to Talia. VICTORIA: You know what to do. Make sure no one sees you. Talia nods and walks swiftly out of Victoria's office. INT. VICTORIA'S OFFICE HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS Talia continues walking quickly through the hallway, keeping her head low. At the end of the hallway, she turns down a quiet hallway and into a room. INT. VICTORIA'S OFFICE, SECRET ROOM - CONTINUOUS Walking behind the desk, Talia removes a painting and stares at the wall hard. ...A blue light sparkles around the wall in the shape of a door and Talia opens it and walks through it. EXT. NORTH CITY CENTRE - DAY She appears in an alleyway to the side of the building, walking rapidly to the end and out of the gate, past a guard ...and out into the bustling city centre where she blends in with the crowd. EXT. KINGDOM CENTRE - AFTERNOON She treks through the packed, cobble stoned centre of the Kingdom. The dark yet opulent exterior of the King's castle overshadowing everything. EXT.
