Tyrants cannot be appeased

Dr. Yenor, I utterly disagree with your position on women in sports - whether at the high school, collegiate or professional level. As the proud parent of two Stanford students, I credit much of their success to taking on the challenges of athletic competition. My daughter, who has maintained a 3.96 GPA in a demanding pre-med curriculum, learned how to challenge herself as a varsity standout in pole vault and volleyball while in high school. Her brother, captain of his soccer team, had no more right than she to fully develop the character and bravery that comes with physical competition. I will also state that there is not a woman I've talked to from my mother's generation that would have turned down the opportunity to continue in sports. There is a profound difference in my and subsequent generations in those women who have had such opportunities. The mother of my children played semi-professional basketball in Germany, graduated from Yale Medical School and yet managed to give birth to and raise three amazing kids. I urge you to reconsider your position and beliefs on this matter. Your current research and publications for the Heritage Foundation are only a detriment to society and to the ultimate strength of the United States of America.
To all who receive these thoughts I offer my respect and ask that you be with me to help me find the courage to be all that I can the wisdom to understand what I must do and what I may become the strength and perseverance to so do and become Let my way be one of peace with all creatures harmony with all things of joy in this life as I find it

The draft amendments would exempt social media platforms from increased penalties in child harm cases if the companies activate a suite of default child safety settings. Those settings include disabling autoplay, restricting geolocation data sharing, silencing nighttime notifications, preventing kids from receiving direct messages from unknown adults , shielding minors’ profiles from public view and preventing explicit material from being shown to kids. The amendments would also require the companies, if they want safe harbor from liability, to enable tools that allow parents to restrict their kids’ screen time, hide their kids’ profiles from public view, monitor who their kids interact with online and report misconduct.

Wittich was being challenged for a precinct committee seat by a Republican member of the Whitefish City Council, Giuseppe “GMan” Caltabiano, who is no stranger to the pressures of being branded a turncoat by the Republican purity set for collaboration with the City Council’s Democrats. Caltabiano, who speaks with a Sicilian accent, told Capitolized in March that he ran for the Whitefish City Council because there were potholes in the city streets that needed fixing. He said it made more sense to run for office than to just complain. Caltabiano said he filed to be Precinct 5 committeeman because there were potholes to be filled within the Flathead GOP. That meant challenging Wittich for the spot. Tuesday night, Caltabiano won without fanfare.
