I’m a cartoonist from Oregon. I draw many genres, including queer, humor, and mystery. I founded Border Town Comic Con and the Ghost Lamps theater troupe. I don’t post enough :)

I try to shield my felt hat, though there’s no helping my velvet coat. I arrive home, struggle my boots off, get my contacts out and my glasses on. My apartment is a disaster. …I’ll clean it tomorrow.

I grab a few to add to my clown costume kit. Pulled pork sandwiches, char siu, fried mini corndogs, cheeses, meats, various salads, flatbread, candy, cookies, red licorice, etc. I pile up many plates of goodies. I take pictures with my friends and my sister, who got a last minute ticket. I foxtrot with a few ladies. I have learned that these boots are too slick to walk on ice, but they work fine on a dance floor.

I swore after last year, that I would stop dressing to theme, but this year the theme is circus, and I have all the parts of a ringmaster’s suit. Drove home, unloaded the truck, making sure to leave all the boxes directly in the way. (If I don’t, I will forget they exist.) I put the laundry in the washer and charge my phone. Hopefully I can get the green tea out of my tablecloth.

There was a trivia portion which I won for a fifty dollar gift certificate. I got my picture taken again. The convention organizer, Vannotes, was presented with a Spider-Man birthday cake. Then the audience was encouraged to come buy some more comics downstairs.

I sell a few books, postcards and an action figure. I talk to some other creators about print on demand publishers I should check out. I add some books to the comics index on my phone.

I take two mystery novels from the little free library. There are donuts, scones with butter, and hot tea inside.
