It initially appeared to be an incomplete pass and was ruled a missed attempt. However, as teams lined up for the kickoff, officials reviewed the play and determined Darnold's pass actually went backward, making it a fumble, and Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet, who picked up the ball in the end zone, was awarded the two points."

The eyes close when turned upside down to squeeze it, as if it experiences condiment dispensation as ecstatic release.
Comment: Curt Boettcher and I were friends in Iwakuni, Japan, when we were both teenagers and our fathers were stationed there. He and I sang together on the military base's radio station once. I still have that recording of the two songs we performed. One was called "Now Is the Hour," and I'm not remembering the other. I cherish that tape. But it's a reel to reel, and I don't have that type of player. Curt drew the illustrations for our school's yearbook. He called his humorous little cartoon characters 'Mungs.' I still have that yearbook, with the letter Curt wrote to me on one of its pages. I'll never forget the 'oranges' that he brought to our end-of-year school picnic. He'd borrowed a syringe from somewhere, gotten some vodka, and injected the oranges. So here we students were, sitting under a tree on a big blanket, eating our 'oranges,' while teachers walked by smiling at us. Curt was a blast -- fun, creative, ornery, and so musical. I have more memories, but will stop here. I had no idea what had become of him, and was sad when I discovered he had died. It's wonderful to be able to find information about him on the internet.
