Q: Why are queer people seen as political? A: Queer people, through their bodies, styles and relationships, make us question what is real and show us that the existing social order is not absolute. They demonstrate that our gendered beliefs about the world, which also shape our cultural customs and rituals, are not set in stone and that a different life is possible.
