I do something very similar on the level of tmux sessions (see the session selector on the screenshot). I automate starting a session by pre-configuring tmux 'windows' and 'panes' using tmuxinator. Then type, e.g., "t vocab" to start the vocab project (neovim, terminal, phx server, logs, etc).
