Oscar, the Duolingo chess character, is seen sitting in front of a chess board. This is an advertisement for changes to the Duolingo Chess training offering. In the clip, Oscar has just moved f3 which hangs the pawn to Nf3. His King is also locked to the back by Black’s rook on h2. It’s a terrible, and confusing, board state that really doesn’t make me want to even think about taking their training.
