“Welcome to the land of peach blossoms” Reference to The Peach Blossom Spring, a fable by Tao Yuanming about an isolated paradise filled with peach trees. The official video refers to this as Shangri La, but they are separate stories. “Huaxu, where the four seasons bloom” In this context, Huaxu refers to a mythical kingdom the Yellow Emperor supposedly saw in a dream. “Suffocated by the scent of peach blossoms” The word used here is aterarete, which means roughly “to be afflicted by/suffer from”. It gave me the impression of a scent so strong it was overwhelming. “The one I once longed for” The word here is senaka or “back”, but it was most likely used to create the image of someone with their back turned from you out of your reach, rather than “I wanted your back”. I combined this with the line minai furi (pretends not to see) as “looks the other way” because it can both mean to ignore or to be turned away from something.
