Plus, it's easier to get rid of a domain, than of a lock, if the key was thrown away
I hope the guys are fine, btw, and this was some kind of wedding website that got obsolete. Just found it funny: back in my teenage, young couples used to write down their names on locks and put them on the bridge. These days, domains seem to be the way to express the same 🙂
