As a white leftist, I need you all to know that for a good number of white leftists, the idea of suffering is purely academic. They know, even if they don't acknowledge it, that their privilege insulates them from harm. This allows them to treat the suffering of others like a thought experiment. Why are they so obsessed with finding the "perfect candidate"? Simply because they can be. They will not be the ones to suffer if an imperfect one loses. So whether *others suffer becomes a game to them. Once you realize this, everything they say becomes clear. They are completely concerned with marginalized communities across the world and completely unconcerned with the plight of marginalized communities around them because those marginalized communities ruin the game. They remind the white leftist that these are actual people with lives and opinions and voices. Whereas the brown person across the world can be idealized and placed upon a pedestal, the brown person here, living amongst them, they secretly find distasteful. Unpalatable. So they ignore them to argue trivialities. Inoculated from consequences, blind to the suffering of others unless it's to make some grand, academic point, they will always be the first to call for revolution and always be the first to flee when it fails. Because they do not suffer, they will say suffering is actually good.
Said men think sex is something gamed as a result of their capability and skill (ex. coercion). The problem being they look at women/sex as a hunting sport which requires dehumanization. The consent of game robs the joy of hunting for sport, so those men violently resent women.
