1/ In Manchester on Saturday, Police officers were once again deliberately not wearing their identifying shoulder epaulettes. Don’t worry! We have pictures. Netpol has noted a trend in which public order (riot) police are increasingly failing to display identification.

2/ The only purpose that failing to display epaulettes serves is to reduce the accountability of officers. GMP's own Uniform Policy & Dress Standards states that: "All officers and staff in uniform are required to wear epaulettes clearly showing their collar number on both shoulders at all times."
This needs to be made illegal.
