#OTD 2 June 2006, Metropolitan Police officers raided a home in Forest Gate looking for a "chemical bomb" and shot one of two brothers they arrested. No bomb was found, nor evidence of "terrorist activity". Mobilised by Newham Monitoring Project, 5000 people later marched on the local police station
