Let them be totally wretched. The evilest wigglers this side of the Rift. Then contrast them with evil lesbians that are totally right/justified. BUTT! Make sure your wretchedly evil lesbians aren’t stoopid. Make them clever in their motions. Make them villains worthy of fear and awe and complicated feelings over! PERSONALLY, I wrote Thendra in Lamentations more like a horror movie villian. As much an environment as a character. Her motives a mystery, but one that anyone who's been with an abuser can painfully relate to. See the familiar actions taken. ALSO! Don’t just… make them transphobic/randomly bigoted on reflex. Let them use the lever of affirmations to trick an MC into thinking they’re a safe space. Make their offers of ‘join the dark side’ FEEL alluring and easy to take because siding with the bigoted ‘good guys’ is not an option. (And make sure to always have your bigots be wrong in all the ways to show that bigotry is incompatible with being the ‘good’ in the story.)

What kinda snuggles are gonna happen? Mebe even the tone of the smutt? it's REALLY a good idea to find another written smutt you love and get asjkdfhd and break it down. Read it a bunch and figure out what's melting your tits off! 2. Who's my POV cutie? Get an idea of how they preceive sex, this smutt, and their physical wiggles and bits. 3. I kinda break it down into steps. Not just the middle end and start. But the flow of the river that are the feels. 4. NOW. This is the good gucking time. REALLY get into this POV's head. Dribble in the thoughts and worries and memories and ideas. Turn that up. Enjoy the outlet they let us express. Think of the different bits other than the tits and other obvious stuff. Hips and fimbers and hair and horns and thighs and ears. There are SO many sensitive parts all about the body to nibble on. 6. Then, and MOST IMPORTANT to us, DISCOVER the unexpected. You’re back… Earlier than expected. Snarling and growling and huffing out sparks that would burn every scrap of flammable anything within like… fifty paces if you let them. And… oh, how much can I feel how easy that would be. Not because I'm a dragon like you. Not even close. You’re basically half-covered in tyrian purple scales, talons sharper than even your Cavalier's enchanted blades, and a tail that could break a riding lizard’s neck. Wings too, but you keep those folded away and inside unless you're getting ready to crack free into your biggest forms. But because… well, aside from the extra 10 degrees of heat you carry around like some Spelltangler’s aura of protection, I’d love to pick up the biggest rock I could carry and drop it on the stupid fucks who run this Empire from ten levels up! All corrupt. Each Spiteful. Terrified of change, but also cruel to the point of self destruction. Wasteful to a degree that if written into one of the old Folk Tales would make the readers snort in disbelief. And they all basically hate us. Are glad to use us, sure. Endlessly and in all the ways. Enticed you into service with promises of the very scales you still grow and burn forth from your flesh. This is not the first time either of us have come home like this, and it won’t be the last. So I stumble after you. Try to catch up without getting too close. Mostly to avoid the way your tail really really wants to lash about and just almost break every random object you pass on the way back to your cells on the top floors. Not even because I think you’d strike me. Just… wanna give you space to let your well earned fury exist. Thank the Hollowed Roots no one else is wandering these passages tonight. Else you stow this anger down and away and… and not let it blaze out. Only let it burn you from within.

The difference and difficulty and keys in writing healing, as opposed to the trauma that came before, is in the repetition. Trauma can be inflicted in a single stroke of words. Will stick and sometimes never let go. A wound dealt, a horror inflicted with your own hands, a life broken or even lost forever to us. One whip-snap-crack and your character is wounded in ways she's never really know how to deal with. But healing? Fuck. That's fake it till you make it shit. Commit to the motions. Hear the same words and do the same motions over and over and over until your ears and heart bleed from the raw grooves they etch upon your soul over the broken parts. Sew the threads together and wait a few eternities to notice the nerves reconnect a little. And even then… The new broken gerl is gonna be not just different from the one from before, or the weeping bleeding wretch lashing out at the Dream, but… new. Messy. And it's… so hard to feel worth loving herself. That's… why I think writing it is so hard. Because you need to repeat the worbs of healing over and over and OVER. Find new ways to phrase things. Be patient. And hope to the Dreamer's rotting tits that you're making it while faking it. Doing that is hard enough. But writing it? Well… fuck, now this has to be some kind of carefully woven so readers can see that. Feel the slow terror of rising hope while still wanting to turn the page. Trauma is as simple as falling in a well. Or being pushed down. Healing is harder. As impossible as climbing out. Struggling to to slip or get kicked back down in those final parts. Takes the patient strength that is willing to fall a bit or even a lot and keep climbing. Writing reflects this.
