Sam and Jack in the episode Evolution, telling each other good luck as they go off on different missions. They’re looking at each other exactly like I’d look at my coworker, if my coworker was my wife. Unfortunately Sam developed a temporary case of severe astigmatism in this moment, as that’s the only way she could have been unsure about his feelings for her two episodes later. It’s obvious because of his yearning eyeballs.
A snippet from a one of my fave Sam x Jack fic wips where their compatibility is tested in a sort of VR simulation thingie. This is part of a scene from that experience where they are in a cutesy little area on the western edge of Colorado Springs that I think Sam probably loves bc underneath all the uniforms she’s still a cute girlie. She’s telling Jack she thinks they’re supposed to be on a date in this part of the “simulation.”

This week’s SJ Fic Club meeting announcement for Next Year by thefifthmember. The image has the meeting info (Dec. 29 noon pst, 3pm est, 8pm gmt) as well as a pair of full champagne flutes with gold streamers to symbolize New Year’s Eve.
An excerpt from an upcoming chapter of The Freshman, a work in progress by me. The excerpt describes Sam watching Jack hug his ex-wife Sara. Sam notices that it’s a polite, not intimate hug.
Me at 21(ish), with my high school friends, potentially at Starbucks. One friend has a red smiling heart sticker over her face for privacy. I am draped over her in a side hug, smiling at the camera. The other friend is cropped out, but you can see her hand holding a Starbucks cup. We’re all wearing silver chain watches, which is making me laugh at the early 2000s of it all. My eyebrows are another testament to those glorious post-Y2K years.
Announcement for SJ Fic Club meeting on Dec. 8, 2024, during which we’ll be discussing the Sam/Jack fan fiction Taking Christmas Off by NiceHatGeorgia. It is a graphic of Redvines licorice in a white background with red gradient borders on top and bottom. It has slight candy cane vibes for added festive flare. At the top it announces SJ Fic Club presents… and at the bottom it lists date (Dec. 8) and times (same as always). Redvines are a small plot point in the story, which kind of irked me at first because I am staunchly Team Twizzlers, but they do acknowledge that Redvines do not taste good, so it ended up being ok.
