Another Mario enemy, this time from Super Mario Brothers CD! A extremely cool rom hack for Super Mario World with amazing art and music! The enemy in the image is called a “Lobba”, which are a new variant of Goombas you can stand on and throw kinda like Mario 2 (or Mario USA). I tried my best to recreate the sprite and a few background tiles from the hack and it ended up looking decently nice!
This was my first time ever making UTDR styled sprites. Let alone sprites Im actually happy with. It was a fun learning experience learning how to sprite in the style of UTDR and it was equally fun trying to translate Psychonauts characters into sprites. I might try to make more Psychonauts UTDR sprites one day. Anyway I hope that these sprites look at least decent. : J
