The top arm of the junction is now closed to general traffic, with a section of shared pavement and rain gardens. Detailed design drawings for with-flow protected cycle tracks on a 3-lane road, with 1 eastbound car lane, 1 westbound car lane and 1 westbound bus lane. The cycle tracks are continuous and in a straight line. The side road junctions at Rosedale Road and Birchdale Road are continuous pavements, where the cycleway and footway are continuous and on humps with no tactile markings, instead with clear priority for pedestrians and cyclists with drivers required to give way.
