Planning intention What is the appeal of giant robot anime? "Giant robot anime" is a manifestation of children's latent desires. In other words, "giant robot anime" is a means of compensation, resistance, and reparation for the various forms of repression and complexes that children experience. Adults know the hardships of life. And at the same time, they also know the joys of life. I know that in order to live, even if I know it's a lie, I need the dreams and hopes of "justice and love." By utilizing the unique characteristics of animation as a means of expression—namely, the worldview where everything is a "picture" drawn by a person—we can convey things to children in a pure way, without any sense of incongruity between fiction and reality. That is the greatest appeal of "giant robot animation." This project aims to uncover the original appeal of "giant robot anime" by going back to its roots, and we hope to find its uniqueness in doing so.
