"Who's a pretty girl? YOU'RE a pretty girl!" So happy for her. Something similar happened to me (not stabbed, tho, just abandoned) and she was my pretty girl for 12 years.

Love to see the transformation! As the caretaker of a rescued stray dog, I think it’s good to be aware that an anxious dog can be a very big project that completely alters your life. Read up on reactive dogs, have funds for extra training and vet bills and a flexible life. It takes more than love.

Sweet girl. Rescues w crazy back stories seem to be forever grateful once they find a loving home. Our huskita was picked up w her tongue hanging on by a ligament & had to be sewn back together. She's been the best pup ever.

We had an abused baby that could be chances twin. Rosie was abused since she was a puppy. She reacted exactly like this. She settled into our home and was my wife’s baby. No vet would spay her, fear of her reaction waking up. She died 2 years ago from cancer, likely from not being spayed.

Oh she looks so pitiful and scared. One can't blame her though for not being trusting of any one, especially after having a knife or whatever, stuck in her. The first thing I noticed was that tail down between her legs a sure sign of an abused and broken animal. People are like that too.🥺

Great pictures. Love heals her. If more people took in dogs instead of letting them be killed the world would be a better place. Love that breed. Reminds me of mine of 16 yrs.
It's heartbreaking that anyone could abuse a dog. She still looks like she has some residual PTSD...but Your love will heal her in time. 💙 It takes a special person to love these fur babies.
My stabbed and abused dog died last year in August. She was so skittish but an absolute sweetheart who was too afraid of people. I miss her so much, an absolute best friend and soul companion.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. We pulled our Muddy when he was rescued from a dog fighting ring. He was a bait dog with a broken leg & only 35 lbs. It took 6 months for him to start trusting humans, and he never fully trusted any dogs except ours. Lived 11 yrs.
Who stabbed her? I hope that animal was put down.

How can a human being do something like that. When such a person is found he/she, no matter how young because psychopaths start their "career" by killing creatures, when they are old enough to start doing this before being old enough to attack humans; according to what I have read. 👍4 your caring🍀
