It’s so frustrating seeing these cases of poisoning but it has to be so hard to be dealing with them, as u are. Wanting to help suffering dogs is extremely difficult when you don’t know what happened & thank goodness you’ve got something to work w now. Little Espresso looks eager to rehab, go girl!❤️

What was the poisoning intentional or accidental? I only ask cause my sister lost two dogs to eating Flora out of her yard, for instance, poppy. She lost one to that flower so I was just curious.

I had a dog a while back who got poisoned by some insecticide out in the yard, and almost died. it took him about 2 weeks to come out of it, and pretty much all he could/would eat was peanut butter watered down with chicken broth! Vet said that kept him alive~ fats helped clear the toxins!

I am glad y'all figured out what was going on. Her intake looked so scary! Poor baby!!! She looks SO much stronger already. Look at her holding up her head. I love how Niall talks to them, like her little tail is going to lift her right up in the air. 🤣😍 I am relieved she is happy and cared for.

I once worked for a man that had a dispute with another businessman. The other guy set out rat poison for my boss’s dog. It was truly horrible to watch but the dog recovered.

My dog was poisoned. Emergency pumping late at night, then the vet started on charcoal. Was informed the chances were slim & even if he survived there would be damage. 4 days of charcoal, 3 x day. Vet saw him early AM on 4th day, called me to say I should say goodbye. Went in and he was up and OK!
She’s safe, at a place where good care is available and love is giving. Hopefully her strength will continue to grow. Thank you for all you do, Niall and Team Happy Doggo!

That local helped save her life with CPR. Ask any medic, it's very common to break a rib or two with CPR, but saving the life is more important than a rib.

Glad Espresso made it through. Our beloved Golden retriever did not. A new neighbor, a retired parole and probation officer was involved. 4 little girls in the neighborhood lost their pets - vet said most likely high blood pressure meds. I hope his karma suits the pain he caused.

Even if a person didn’t deliberately harm this pup - the potential for harm through negligence in use/handling of toxins ought 2 b a self-reflection top-of-mind concern for EVERYONE. Secondary poisoning is a HUGE issue for both wildlife and pets; not to mention children!
