What a struggle, but you & the team endured. He must have been in agony & not understanding why, but thank goodness you were able to catch him and get him treated. I'm so glad you found that poor dog in time. It wasn't too late, and I hope & pray that his wound & soul will heal. He definitely knows that you're helping him, and that's why he trusts you. For others, this might seem like a small thing, but for this little dog, it's his only chance to survive 🙏

That’s why you should never put a stiff collar on a puppy or kitten. I caught a cat once who had a collar that had obviously been placed when she was a kitten. She was lost, I guess, and the collar was tightly constricting her neck and kept it from growing.
I can only cry. Who’d do this.

Another example of you and the Happy Doggo team being in the right place at exactly the right time (after the 36 hours). Lucky pup now gets to live a good, pain-free life. 💕
This is one of the most common injuries we see with street dogs in India too. A rope or wire left on as a puppy, never removed, cuts deeper every month as the dog grows. By the time anyone notices, it's embedded in muscle. Glad you caught this one before it got that far.

What a beauty. We had the same at the shelter. Neck and sometimes leg with wire. Sometimes it’s easy to catch them. Sometimes it feels impossible. But it is life saving. I hope a loving new home is waiting for this puppy.
