Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson - 6/5. JESUS. CHRIST. This takes the building from The Way of Kings and bumps it to 100. I've heard Oathbringer is better but I truly do not understand how that's going to be possible. Probably my favorite BrandoSando book to date.
The Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne - 4/5. This was my first experience with a non-Sanderson Sanderlanche. I really liked the Norse adjacent setting. Familiar enough to not feel totally different but not so similar that it's just another Norse fantasy book.

This Is How You Lose the Time War by Max Gladstone and Amal El-Mohtar - 6/5. Scifi sapphic time travel romance. Beautiful written. The two authors voices are phenomenal in capturing the different characters POV.

Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman - 4/5. Comedy horror fantasy set in the Middle Ages during the initial outbreak of the Black Plague? Don't mind if I do. Highly recommend. Feels similar vibes to Good Omens and Little Evil.
