Gonna guess this is the problem. Somehow "$16,420,000,000" got input as the box office for July 3rd. Normal box office amounts are being added on top, making it appear more "random" and plausible. Either this was supposed to be "$16,420" or even "16,420,000", or someone is playing a weird 420 joke.
