This afternoon, you used the word 'excel' Did you know that part of the definition of that word is 'To be proficient' ? "1. to be superior to (another or others); surpass 2. (intr; foll by in or at) to be outstandingly good or proficient" Do I not close more tickets than anyone? Do I not surpass others in terms of the answers I give, the analysis I provide? Why else would you request I analyse the logs for my team mates tickets ? Am I not proficient in the tools that I use on a daily basis? The language I use to communicate? The duties I perform ? In other words, Do I not *excel* in my role already ? I take pride in doing a good job. I DONT take pride in shouting that to others. I never have, and I never will.
