A poem that reads: There’s something so simple about losing your light It’s not lost in battle, or in a fanfare It’s almost like breathing the way it recedes One day you’ll simply wake up and notice that it’s gone That the dreams you had aren’t just dull, they’re broken That the plans you used to make for yourself are ancient history It’s almost like crying the way hope dies One tear at a time, one lost opportunity One “last try” Until the things you thought were coming one day Are no more real than fiction And suddenly, it’s dark
