Still sparse but the pollinator patch is coming to life. Mostly zinnias in a circle patch of dirt. A couple of large water bottles set up for drip irrigation, which is still allowed in the drought.
Big dill plant has taken on too much water. The weight of it has caused it to droop over so much that it is basically laying down in its raised bed.

A yellow and black bird, my best guess is American goldfinch, is standing on a sunflower bloom. It keeps dipping down and eating seeds. The petals are missing from this sunflower.

Top to bottom of my 90 inch sunflower plant. It's in a 17 inch tall aluminum raised bed. There's a couple nearby. There's phlox and other flowers in the same bed as this sunflower. We use raised beds because our soil is mostly clay.

6. Consider the source. Just because it's on the Net doesn't mean the information is either accurate or true. After all, virtually anyone can "publish" anything on the Internet and the World Wide Web. So be skeptical at all times. If the information is on a Web site, try to determine: What person or organization created the information? What's the motivation behind it? When was the material last updated? The same goes for newsgroup postings, where unscrupulous marketers sometimes plant positive comments about their own products and negative ones about their competitors'-making it appear as though the comments were made by actual users of the products. 7. Know when to look elsewhere. Don't assume that the Internet contains the sum total of human knowledge. The Net will always surprise you, both with the information that it does contain and with its lack of information on some specific topic.

The sun. Despite being white, the earth's atmosphere often makes it look yellow, as it does here. There are scattered sun spots, which appear as little brownish-black dots. Almost like freckles on the sun. But only a few.

Prickly pear pad in a terra cotta pot. It has grown 3 pads recently. The center top new pad is a bit smaller than the two new ones to its left and right. Since the main pad is bigger than all of them, it has the effect of looking like a sea turtle.

Most of the rest of the near side of the moon is dark areas called mare. There are ligh craters within the mare. The top left, the left edge and the very left bottom are also light areas.
