I do the same and also have a travel kettle! The only downside is it seems like TSA always searches my bags when the whole kit is in my checked luggage.

Wild! I'll travel with the Aeropress every once in a while but never with a grinder or kettle. Usually I just try to track down a bag of good grounds when I get to my destination. It's a bit easier now that I drink decaf and don't crave 6 cups a day. 😆

This is cool. I have a similar setup for traveling. The ony difference is the kettle! And I came to the same conclusion: doing my coffee like this will make a better coffee that what I could usually find early morning in a hotel or nearby.
