I watched Sergei Parajanov’s "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" for the first time and am utterly stunned, above all by how deeply he delved into Ukrainian folklore. Every frame radiates his effort to grasp the essence of the Ukrainian people, weaving a magnificent synergy between visuals and music.

I watched it in high school just so that I could make an essay about it for literature class. Thought it was gonna suck and Ill have to just power through it. Then ten minutes in I was like “wait, this actually rules??? What the heck?”

Несколько лет назад продавались игральные карты, которые он делал, когда был в тюрьме Реплика, но очень красивые Смотрел только Цвет граната, очень понравилось, но не могу назвать это кино в привычном понимании, скорее многослойная ожившая картина Очень интересный человек с такой же жизнью
