Considering Syrski's family resides in Russia ~ How is Zelensky going to handle this threat of breach of intel and trust in this man? Russians can easily capture him and torture him for more information, kidnap his family members, etc.
Syrskyi was a competent general and he deserves no disrespect, but there is a glaring security weakness. Is it a good plan to have a man leading Ukraine's army whose parents and brother continue to live in Russia?
He was highly competent in his role, no one doubts that, but in a democracy all power is finite. Thank you 👏👏👏👏
There is a huge danger in the public deciding who should be the CC. It takes the eyes of the ball and forces generals to work on there public image rather than doing their job. I don’t know if Syrskyi was a good or not, but he got the job done and this was not the right time to replace him.
