ICE Alert: It now appears America's well-funded National Police Force is set to open an office in Marietta. According to a statement released by the Marietta Police Department, ICE did not request its presence in our fair city.
Their arrival is required by Georgia Code Title
§ 35-1-17 :Law Enforcement Officers and Agencies. It was passed to encourage Georgia's state and local government employees, including law enforcement officers and prosecuting attorneys, to work in conjunction with federal immigration authorities and to utilize all resources made available by the federal government to assist them in the enforcement of immigration laws.
