I was a tourist in the Python world, 2009ish - 2012ish. I technical-edited a full raft of Python courses for O'Reilly, written by Steve Holden. But then I also edited Perl, C+, Java, Javascript, and just about every other possible programming language. As soon as I "knew" one it was on to another.
